The Geological Museum at the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources is the only geological museum in Korea, and it is an educational place for understanding earth history. Starting as a geological specimen room at the auditorium building in November of 1992, the Geological Museum at the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources has become Korea's only geological museum. The earth we live in is 4.6 billion years old, and the Earth went through many natural processes before reaching its present-day appearance. Since the birth of the earth, life evolved and diverse organisms have come to exist on Earth. Whereas active Earth's interior produced volcanoes and earthquakes, and formed various rocks, ores, mountain ranges, lakes, and plains. Earth not only offered us valuable mineral resources, but also give us a beautiful nature that comforts our hearts for free. I think it is our Geological Museum that could tell us what has happened in the past billions of years on Earth, and it is a place where we could express our love back to Earth.
